Scrap Couture One-Off Children's T-Shirt
There's quite a lot going on with this one, but somehow it all works together. As with all my Scrap Couture pieces, it's completely one of a kind, made from carefully chosen leftover fabrics that deserve a second chance rather than being left in a scrap box.
 
The front keeps things fairly calm with a leafy green print dotted with gold specks. It's a nice contrast to what happens when you turn it around. The back is packed with different animals, bringing in more colour and making the whole top feel a bit more playful.
The sleeves each have their own look too. One features brown seals, while the other is covered in foxgloves on a dark background.
 
They're completely different prints, but that's exactly what makes this style work. It's a top that catches your eye because there's always another little detail to spot.
 
Handmade in my St Ives workshop from 95% cotton and 5% lycra cotton jersey, it's soft, comfortable and designed for everyday wear. Wash at 30 degrees, line dry and give it a gentle iron if needed.
 
Only one like this has been made, so once it's gone, it's gone.
