This is one of those tops where there’s something different whichever way you turn it. It's a Scrap Couture one-off, made from a mix of fabrics that probably shouldn't work together on paper, but somehow do.
The front features woodpeckers, caterpillars, butterflies and ladybirds on a bright teal background. It's a lively print with plenty to spot, and the mustard neckband gives it a lovely lift. The dark navy waistband helps ground all those brighter colours and gives the top a neat finish.
Turn it around and you're straight into farm life, with sheep, tractors, trees and sheepdogs scattered across a fresh mint background.
The sleeves bring even more into the mix. One features cheerful seagulls on yellow with a soft lilac cuff, while the other is covered in flowers, leaves and smiley little mushrooms on purple, finished with a mustard cuff.
Handmade in my St Ives workshop from 95% cotton and 5% lycra cotton jersey, it's soft, stretchy and comfortable enough for everyday wear. Wash at 30 degrees, line dry and use a gentle iron if needed.
There's quite a lot packed into this one, which means you'll keep noticing new details long after you've taken it home.
